How a fashion brand increased the revenue by three-fold through Productimize - Productimize

Sseko Designs – The “Not-just-for-profit” eCommerce fashion brand started its story in Uganda with just the sandals has now grown to leather bags, shoes, and accessories through partnerships with East African artisan groups and makers.

Uganda  Kenya  Ethiopia  India

In addition to Sseko’s global impact, every sale contributes directly towards the college scholarships for Uganda’s brightest young women and dignifies employment at their factory in Uganda. Some of the current impacts of its sales include – for every $100,000 generated in sales, Sseko is able to employ 2 full-time employees and provide 1 university bound scholarship. In addition to that, they have a fully Ugandian management team.

Challenge

As of 2015, the company managed to sell more than $3 million worth sandals and fashion accessories through direct selling, brick-and-mortar stores, and eCommerce websites. That being said, the specialty of Sseko Designs is they offer customizable options on their sandals, where a customer can choose the color of the ribbon, straps, sole, etc. Until the collaboration happened with Productimize, all the customization frenzy happened in-store and was not available to the online shoppers, which was a barrier they wanted to break.

Solution

Productimize seamlessly installed its cloud custom product configurator in the Sseko Design’s Magento-powered website. Now, customers who love to personalize their sandals or any fashion accessories can design from scratch the product they would love to own. Thanks to the immersive UI, customers can choose from 10+ different elements – such as strap color, accents, heel type, sole material, exactly which suits their tastes and preferences.

Scaling up the ladder of growth is not a one time task as it needs continuous intervention and advancement based on the way how technology evolves and on customers tastes and preferences. Sseko is now in the quest to migrate from Magento to Flight Platform, which is a brand new eCommerce software. They also wanted to switch over Productimize as well.

Right from the moment we stepped in, Productimize wanted to give an enduring shopping experience to anyone who wishes to customize products, and we are glad the journey to design this visually enriching and socially impactful site has come out beautiful in all the ways.

More than happiness, the whole team at Productimize is wholly proud to be associated with such a company which does not look to just making profits but yearns to create a change in society – by empowering women with education.

Sseko DesignsHere is what the merchant had in mind initially when we implemented Productimize:

“Working with the team at Productimize has been an extraordinary experience. We came to them with a complicated project and they surpassed our expectations with their ability to bring a complex system to life with a simple UI. They went above and beyond to complete the project on a tight deadline and were a delight to work with. We’re thrilled to have found them and plan to continue to work with this fantastic team!”

And after the migration, this is what he had to say:

“Love working with you guys. Makes the process easy. Excited to get this re-launched on the new platform. I know the Flight team’s CEO passed around the project to the entire company to show what was possible with Productimize.”
